Went to our local Whitetails Unlimited banquet last Sat evening, sold out crowd of 450 people. They were sold out a week in advance, it was a real popular event. Wonder how much of that was due to the long winter we have had and maybe folks were just anxious to get out. Every thing seemed to sell good, I bid on some guns but just seemed to wake others up and they ended up going home with other bidders. Keep thinking one of those engraved Henry Golden Boys would be nice to have, the one that's called "Passing on the Tradition" but they keep getting out of my reach. Does anyone else have these banquets near them and if so do you attend? Our local chapter gives a lot toward shooting for the local youth especially the FFA and 4H. They had thousands of clay targets and many, many cases of shells this year. They do a great job of promoting the youth and getting them involved, have lots of things for them. prizes, hunts, shells etc.

Good that you made that Banquet Steve. Most of these type of banquets are nice to attend, and most are pretty worthwhile. Not any of these around here. Our biggest banquet in this area is the Ducks Unlimited. We attend it most years, and it is always a lot of fun.
