Things were slow at work today. So I took a half day. As I pulled up the drive toward the house. The gobblers hang in here, took off up the hill. I took out the calls and started messing with em once I got in the house. As I squawked and rattled the windows looking out the back door. I thought heck with it I'm gonna see if I can get them to respond. Opened the back door and barely got a series out. They hammered back from about 150 yds away. Slowly closed the door and sat back on the couch. A half hour later I had to go out and do something. I'm just standing next to the corner of the house. I moved the aluminum ladder, lost my grip and the end slammed to the ground. Gobble obble obble!! Holy crap they were over in the swamp 80 yds behind an uprooted tree. Next thing I see is all 5 longbeards come walking from behind their hide out. They saw me and totally ignored me. Just slowly walked off pecking the dead vegetation. Pretty cool! I stood as they walked off then slammed the ladder again! They hammered back. I may have a new shock gobble call. But gonna need two people to carry it. Lol!!

That's pretty cool Scott. Gobblers in the back yard. Doesn't get much better than that.
