Haven't looked here Larry but several reports of bucks still having their antlers on their heads, I saw 2 decent ones just a week ago myself. We have had a terrible, hard winter, thought they would shed early, my theory must be very wrong. The snow is just about gone so finding some will be possible soon though. I will probably look from my atv when we start getting some real nice days and will take some pics if I find any.

Eventhough we have had some beautiful weather. Still have quite a bit of snow. Temps gonna drop back down so they say. It will be awhile before the search is on. My buddy went out yesterday where we found that January shed. He looked for a couple hours. Nothing.

Nobody finding any here yet, snowing hard right now, another blizzard. Just came home from town, 11 miles on a road I've driven for 25 years, top speed was 25mph. Looks like the sheds will be buried again but at 5 degrees they should keep well, some day I will go look for some, right now I'm either cutting wood or shoveling snow, ugh!

Having our first real snow of the year here. Been snowing since last night and temps about 12 above. Actually pretty nice, just wish it would have started in Dec. when it was supposed to, not now. Did break out the X-country skies this afternoon. Had a nice go of it. Looks like tomorrow will be a snowplowing day though.

Some bare ground starting to show here, temps are warming. Saw 40 deer yesterday on a 4 mile drive from East farm to to my house, today 15 deer on my farm here at home, this is good news. Saw no antlers on any heads so the time to hunt sheds may be near.

My buddy is talking about getting a new dog and training it to shed hunt. I'm partial to labs. They can be trained on a multitude of things. Whether it be waterfowl, upland birds or anything else Id probably stick with my lab breed. Hopefully very soon have one again? Or maybe two? Lol!! I truly miss my chocolates.

One of my buddies trained his yellow lab to hunt sheds. It has been very successful finding both deer and elk antlers. Yes the labs are very versatile for sure. Labs are definitely a great breed and great companions for sure.
