We have some pretty good snow storms coming one tonight and tomorrow. And supposedly a bigger one coming Sunday? Tonight was the most deer I have seen go by here since we moved in . Counted 23 deer pretty much as soon as I got home from work. Saw the usual 9 , then they all looked uphill. And here comes a wave of whitetails. There was 4 bucks in there all had shed their horns. Was pretty cool watching as they headed to the fields. Gonna be rough for them for the next week or so.

Storm after storm just following each other has to hurt the deer herd.

Been a fairly mild winter here. Some snow and peroids of cold weather. Overall, the whitetails look in pretty good shape for time of the year. You folks back East have sure had your share of very bad weather. Hope is subsides for all of you.

We had a little snow this week. More on the way next week, but the cold weather is supposed to end today. That will be nice. Have about 20 or so deer hanging out around our place.

I'd love to see a good mid winter thaw and get up for steelhead. Every time the deer show we stop what we are doing to observe them. Funny how they have an order of hiarchy in a herd. There's one dominant doe she doesn't tolerate much. She leads they follow. It never gets old seeing them. We both get like little kids having a long lost dog return home.

Enjoy your deer Scott, not seeing many here at all and some are looking a little thin . We have about a foot of snow on the ground but it's the cold that has been bad, lot of 15 below just day after day with strong winds, Today it got into the 20's and felt like a shirt was all we needed to work outside, guess we are getting tough but I'd rather not have to do it this way.
