Thought I'd share a few shots of Wonder lake before I leave the Denali region, This is at the end of the lake, near the parking lot. You can drive off the main road right down to the waters edge. On a nice clear day Mt McKinley should be looming in the background of some of my pics, but only clouds for me. My wife shot me this time with the camera and she usually gets me when I'm explaining where the shutter button is located, so this is normal. Taken from off the beaten path from the view that an animal would have or in my case "bear bait" The sign tells about the lake, I take these pics to help me remember facts, something I'm not always good with. Wonder Lake is 4 miles long and 280 feet deep, formed by the last Glacier passing through it has 4 species of fish that live at 4 different levels, not much else as it is said to be too young and too Arctic to support much life. Very peaceful place to visit. In this shot, Wonder Lake is directly behind me, we have climbed a few hundred feet in elevation and over looking the Talkeetna River basin, getting late in the afternoon, trying to spit snow and drizzle rain we began the 85 mile ride back to the park entrance.
