Ok, so since this is going to be/has been, quite the popular frequently asked questions, we're going to go ahead and create an entirely separate stickied thread for this particular topic. Here's how you upload/post an image to the site:
"How To Post/Upload A Picture To The Site"...
Now, you'll notice that I quoted that question as "Post/Upload". The reason being is because those are two distinct ways in which a picture to which you want displayed on the site can be added.
Let's cover the first way, which is to "Post A Picture".
When we say "post a picture", basically that means you are directly, through your own manual process, inserting an image/picture to a specific post and/or thread. You don't necessarily have to "Post" a picture to the site, as you can upload one too. The choice is yours all depending on the situation and you're preference given what the particular circumstance on the site is. Posting is relatively simple.
Here's the most recommended. RELIABLE, and convenient way to do so (and will also allow you to store your relevant outdoor photos online for your own personal use outside of this site):
1) We recommend that you use an online image host such as "Photobucket" (http://www.PhotoBucket.com) or "IMGUR" (http://www.imgur.com) or "Image Housing" (http://www.ImageHousing.com) We’ll use Photobocket in this Tutorial as the example. If you aren't familiar with Photobucket and/or already have an account on their site (which is FREE), then we recommend that you create an account, again it's FREE and EASY to use, and follow the next steps...
2) Once you've created an account, you can start to upload photos from your computer directly to their online image storage and then place them within our site. You will essentially create an "album", then upload your image(s) to it, then retrieve/copy the code/image url they assign to it and then take that code/image url and paste it within the thread/post that you are creating. Here's an idea of what it will look like once you've created an account with them and you've uploaded some images within an album on their site:
And another "Album" that's been created in Photobucket:
Ok, after you have created an album and have uploaded pictures to it, then you'll want to click on the specific image within that album and it will then go to the next screen that will be specifically for that image you selected and give you image code options/selections for that particular image. The specific "code" you want to use is the "IMG" option located to the right side of the image. It is outlined for you in the following screenshot and what you will want to do there is click on that "IMG" (Which is indicated by the green arrow pointing to it in the following screenshot) section to which it will automatically "copy" or save the code information for you to paste into the message box here on this site:
After you have clicked on the IMG code and it copies the code for you, go back to this site and right click within the message box that you're creating a post/thread in and select "Paste" as seen in the following screenshot:
After you have selected the "Paste" option it should look something like this:
After that just go ahead and click on the "Create Thread" button (or "Post Reply" button- whichever you are doing at the time, but in this example we're showing the screenshot of creating a "thread") which is indicated by the green arrow in the screen shot above.
And there ya go! Pretty easy once you know how to do it and get familiar with the process after doing it a few times. Any questions on this method, please feel free to ask/reply within this thread.
