I may not be on R&S as often especially evenings. Many of you are now enjoying a sigh of relief I know, but hopefully will be back soon. Reports from my reliable sources are pouring in, the weather has changed, fall is here, the moon is right, crops in the river bottom are out and a light rain fell this evening. The big boys are moving, now know where several are that are plenty big enough for my wall and all my hunting buddies are working overtime. As for me, well not working as much as I need to be so just as well hunt and that I will be doing, like tomorrow morning! Hope I can post and catch up with everyone in the "Harvest section" , trying to think positive here

Been waiting for heavy rain to stop here this morning, looks like a break coming up right now. First rain we have had in months that makes us stay under a roof. So far, have seen two big deer, one is an 8 pt that will score 150 and I can hunt him, got close but still out at 75 yards best I have done. The other one is an 8pt too but a monster, largest 8 pt I've ever seen on the hoof. He at first looks like a mule deer, very tall rack, points are going to be 14 inches or more in length , good mass, about 17 to 18 inches wide. His beam length is going to put him way up in score. Problem so far is his location, can't hunt where I've seen him, can get within 1/2 mile so may see him later during the rut but right now he is safe where he is unless he gets ran over. Getting a break in the rain, I'm headed to the East farm, later guys.

Keep after them Steve, sounds like some great bucks. Deer season opened here this week but haven't got out yet. Rains have started here also.
