Freed up some time to go out fishing with my son. Went over to Priest Lake, which is in North Idaho. Had a nice morning fish. Landed four Mackinaw from three to seven pounds plus three kokanee salmon. They will be great on the grill and fresh out of the smoker.

Great photo of some nice looking fish. I notice your son is wearing a jacket, would not need that here right now especially in such a dark color. Northern Idaho is looking real inviting about now.

Grizz, it has been cool and rainy all spring. Been wearing a jacket nearly every day. Supposedly it is starting to warm up tomorrow. Looking forward to that. Did take the fish out of the smoker. They turned out pretty good.

The opposite here Terry, hot and very dry. Been in the mid 90's, high humidity, 30 mph winds and not a cloud in the sky for days. Looking forward to heading to your old stomping grounds in Aug if everything goes as planned, should be cooler in North Dakota I'd think. Those fish look like they would be somewhat like a trout but have no idea?
