This has been one of my on going week end projects, today I got the front nearly finished . Built a bridge across the drainage area between house and barn, hung a couple deer antlers up to lay claim to what will probably be the new hang out for my friends and I. It is 27 x 36 feet with a 10 foot porch facing the South. It has a loft with slider windows at each end for shooting out of when we decide to hunt close to home. The West window allows for an 1100 yard shot and the East about a 450 yard shot, that is about 10 times further than I'm good for. The pics are of the front only, oak siding from local trees, sawed by my neighbor. Rock veneer are flat pieces of limestone we hauled 120 miles from a creek where I used to deer hunt a week each year, several trips were needed for this, about 4 ton of rock, so I had to go hunt there a lot just to get the rock ;D The Cedar post for the porch and bridge came from the East farm. The old wagon wheel is from a piece of machinery my Dad used in the 50's, we used it when I was a boy in the 60's to pull post with by using a chain over the top of it, it is bent up some from use but now retired by the bridge. Much more work to be done but it helps pass the time until season opens and they turn me loose with my bow to hunt deer.
