Absolutely sick at my stomach, just bought a new BPS and had a stock swivel stud installed by a so called gun smith, well I picked it up and what looks like vise marks on the stock, it is not gouged into the wood looks to be surface or what ever Browning uses as finish is scratched, any advice suggestions from the experts.
Thanks George georgenk1@yahoo.com

Now that's a DANG SHAME .. Really don't know what they use on the finish. But you may try lookin it up on the net or ask a good GUN SMITH,, NOT THE ONE YOU SEEN THE FIRST TIME,,

Thats certainly sucks to get something back and have it be scratched like that. First I would call the guy that did the stud work and ask him to fix the scratch, if he will own up to it. If you get no satisfaction there, I would try hand rubbing those areas with carnuba wax and then hand buffing with a nice piece of flannel material. Hope you make out alright getting it patched up.
