What's yours? Mine right now is the Abu Garcia Revo STX & Premier.... The other reel of choice is the Abu Garcia Skeet Reese version of the Revo as well. All have a gear ratio of 6.4.1 which to me is an "all around" type reel. Versitile and very useful for my preferred presentation style.

Those are some good reels you got bro. I also have Abu's. Because they last so long mine are still goin and work flawless. I have the ambass lite and ambass plus. I did buy a pinnacle last year that was on sale. And that is as smooth a casting reel,i've ever had. I use them for just about all my fishing. or should I say the fish i go after. ;D. My ambassadeur plus has caught everything just about.bass, pike, musky, some walleye, and several pretty good cats. Has taken a beatin, and yet still rolls. i don't use spincast reels as much anymore. Maybe spring steelhead or jiggin walleyes or smallies. I'd like to try the exact reels you got. I hear they are a very good investment.

Scott, they DEFINITELY are worth every penny! The price tag certainly gave me sticker shock, but after researching the reels and speaking with several other anglers who use them as well as being lucky enough to have tried them before I bought them, well... I was "hooked"! Smooth is just an understatement with these reels. They basically cast themselves and backlashes are at a minimum! There's durability and strength with these reels and the quality is not only something you can see... it's something you'll feel each time you reel in and/or set the hook on a nice fish. You won't go wrong with these reels... and as you said, they are definitely a SOLID investment for the serious fisherman! If you do purchase one and put it to use on the water... let me know what ya think!

Maybe not this year but definitely next year. I will give em a shot. Bass pro usually has some real good sales fall and spring on fishin equipment. They look like they'd be a very good investment. I always said if some of these companies came out with more user friendly baitcasters, eventually more folks would buy them. Bad backlashes back in the day were oh so frustrating, had some bad ones. ;D ;D ;D!!
