Knoxville, Tenn. Man Charged with Selling WildlifeSee More News 10/16/2009 A Knoxville, Tenn. man was arrested after attempting to sell a black bear rug and stuffed waterfowl to an undercover state wildlife agent last Saturday at the Green Acres Flea Market on Alcoa Highway.
While possessing personal hunting trophies of ducks and geese is legal, trying to sell the stuffed waterfowl is not. Trafficking bear parts is prohibited, TWRA spokesman Allen Ricks said to The Knoxville News Sentinel.
Michael Ray Kirkland was charged with 13 counts related to wildlife transactions, one count of theft and one count of unlawful weapons possession.
