Idaho Wolf Pack Kills Four Hunting Dogs 10/6/2009 A pack of wolves killed a Worley, Idaho hunter’s four hunting dogs near the Elk River last week.
Bill Greenlee was bear hunting with his friend, Joseph Nelson of Elk River, when the four dogs ran into a pack of wolves.
According to the Lewistown Tribune, three of Greenlee’s Walker hounds and one of Nelson’s red bone hounds were killed. Greenlee reported the incident to the Idaho Department of Fish and Game.
The wolf pack believed to be responsible for the killings is the Chesima wolf pack. In August, two members of that pack were killed for preying on livestock according to Dave Cadwallader, the Clearwater Region’s supervisor.
