Will start looking mid Feb to 1st of March, I'm still seeing bucks with antlers and some guys are getting them on game cams with headgear. I want most of them to shed before I invest the time in combing the woods, I've too many acres to get over once, I sure don't want to be wasting my time.

Hopefully we will get some kind of a thaw. Still plenty of snow, to spot sheds, here in n.y. I 'm hoping by early march.

Got my first pic of a buck that has shed both sides, had another spike that still had one antler. Looks like this buck has shed a few days ago. May go when we have the next warm up and snow melts.

webejonesin2, are you a detective? The pic was taken on 1-21-09 and I picked up the cam on the 25th but we got 3 inches of snow at 2 A.M.on the 25th. so I do have snow and VERY cold. Good job though, can't get one past you, can I?

Grizz.....I hope to get out there to do alittle shed hunting once I know they are done dropping the head gear. I know of a few fence crossing where I plan to look first. Then I move on to food sources and bedding areas. I also do some scouting at the same time. I often find a new spot or 2.

8pt172, there are still several bucks with racks in my neighborhood, about 3 inches of new snow and cold. Probably more snow West of me where you hunt when in MO.A couple more weeks could make a big difference on our success but I'm going to do some shed hunting soon when I get caught up on my work. If your good at finding them, you should come by and show me how it's done!

WE got a short break in the weather for the last two days so took the atv out in my hayfield and found a shed within 2 minutes. I had a lucky feeling come over me so continued shed hunting for about two hours. After dark I called my bro to tell him and he said I was still wasting time as he had been across the road from my house working in the timber and jumped 7 bucks on his way back to the house. That may be why I only found one.

Haven't had a chance to get in the woods yet to look for sheds, too many irons in the fire right now.
