Ive found an avatar pic, but can not figgure out how to load to site, any suggestions how. thnks in advance. WeebeeJ - 1. After you locate the image you want as an avatar, right click the image with your mouse and select the "Save Picture As" option. A pop-up window will appear for the purpose of saving the image. For this activity, save the image to your "My Pictures" folder or the "Desktop" on your PC. Make sure the picture type is "JPEG (.jpg)" format and type in the name you want to call the picture. 2. Now you need to re-size the picture or "crop" it with your image software so that its size is no larger than 100 by 100 pixels in size. There are several picture-editing software packages that will allow you to do this. Since MS Windows comes with MS Paint, right click the image you saved on your desktop and select "Open With." Select MS Paint. The image will now open in the MS Paint software. Locate the "Image" Option on the Toolbar and select it with your mouse. Options will appear in a pull-down menu. Select the "Stretch/Skew" option. Another pop-up window will appear. Change the "horizontal" and "vertical" to 50% (both). Select "OK" You should now see a reduced image in the paint program. Now you need to re-size it. Go to the Paint toolbar and open the "Image" pull-down menu. Select the "Attirbutes" selection. A pop-up window window will appear. Make sure the radio button for "Pixels" is selected. The change the numbers for Width and Height to 100 by 100 pixels. Select "OK" and see what happened to the image. You may need to make the Height or Width larger or smaller depending on how much the image changed to your liking or disliking. You will have to experiment here. Once you have "fine tuned" the image and assured that it is 100 by 100 pixels or less, save the image again as a new file name in a JPEG (.jpg) format. It's much easier than it sounds. Then what? Use this link to upload the image to a picture-hosting site: www.racksandspurs.proboards38.com/index.cgi?board=tech&action=display&thread=1124415305After you have uploaded the image, go to your "Profile" on Racks & Spurs Club and select the "Modify" rpofile option. Scroll dow to the Avatar selection. Input the url of the picture by copying and pasting the "www.hunt101.com/img/309273.jpg"-style address in the data entry box. You do not need to enter the "img" or "/img" HTML format commands (I have omitted the "[]" brackets) in the avatar section. This is the main reason that users report that their avatar selection does not work so, avoid this common mistake. Save your profile changes and see if the image appears when just view your profile or in any posts that you have made. Simple huh?!?
