I got two of the originals. Never tried the full rut. I got the scratch and dents. I think the brow tines are broke off but for $50 less I don't care. Seem to work well with field points but I am hesitant to hit it with BH's. I use the Block for those.
I did notice shooting in the drizzel I had some pass throughs. On a dry day it's never happened.

bought one a couple of weeks ago, i got the one with replacement vitals instead of the open layer design works great, if you shoot carbons you'll need to get an arrow puller, a lil tough to extract your naildrivers otherwise. It is a great replica for life size deer, thought about even usin it as a decoy this fall. hope this helps

I got 2 with the replacable vitals I have shot it with broadheads but mostly field tips, here is a hint for those hard to remove arrows, get one of those plastic/foam jar opener pads. You can really git a grip on those arrows with it.

Another tip for the arrows. This is what I do for tournament season. I buy a bar of gliserine from the drug store and just rub it on the front half of my arrows. They pull out like they are in a bag target. If you can't find gliserine use a bar of ivory soap.

Just go out and spend the 10 bucks on a foam target.
Your not going to be shooting a deer standing straight in front of you in more senarios. I just shoot with my eyes closed real close to get my form and when I feel ready drops it dead center everytime.

I have one. I like it. The arrows are a bit tight pulling when new. It lasts well

Well, I've got the "FULL RUT" Glendel now. Bought it last year at a whopping $200 and some odd bones! I love it. But I don't like the horns on it though. VERY cheaply made. Broke the G1 off on the right side and the G3 off the other. Looks like a weird non typical now lol. I just think for the money, they could have done a better job on giving you the more solid plasticy kind instead of some cheap ass styrofoam. Just my two bits on the dollar.

I like mine but it is hard to get your arrows out. and the antlers are history . over all don't think its worth the money . better off with a bag or the block . just my 2 cents

Picked up the "Full Rut" a few weeks back...the horns suck but I don't aim at the horns. I did find that at a 10 yard tree stand shot 20 feet up quartering away the arrow will wedge into the foam or plastic body of the target beyond the vitals (what would be just below the bottom of the shoulder on the opposite side) and makes for VERY tough arrow removal. If the arrow sticks solely in the vitals it is easy to remove. The shots I made are real world shots to hit the vitals or in my case the top of the heart. Flat shooting will provide unlimited fun with this target however. I like the target but just wish the vitals were set up a bit differently to accommodate those tough high angle shots.
