My nephew bought a house awhile back and when he was cleaning out the cellar he came upon some turkey calls in the rafters. And some old turkey feet too. I guess the house he bought belonged to an elderly gentleman who was a turkey nut. I guess when he died he was in his eighties. Here is a pic of one of the calls he found. It's a push button type but you can tell it's homemade. On top where it slides across the peg it's made of wood and slate. There's a name on the side which is Redwood Calls. Anyone ever hear of it? The rubber band you see is hooked on the inside so it can slide on the striker. Then the other end hooks on a screw on the bottom. I can get some awesome kee kees on this call plus yelps and purrs.
