I'm uncertain if I have posted this on here or not. Since I like the picture of that Rio someone else posted so much, I thought I would add the picture of my IL gobbler. I harvested him in Pope County, IL. On the last morning of the hunt. I hunted through some brutal weather, including hail, down pouring rain, high winds, some of the loudest thunder I've ever heard, wicked lighting and even tornado watches. Finally, the last morning of my hunt was just the calm break I needed to harvest my first mature gobbler, with the help of my guide Jarod Jackson. He was one of two long beards that came in that morning, right off of the roost. They were hot, I'm guessing since the weather had them down and out for a few days prior. It was yet another exciting time out in Illinois. A good friend of mine and master taxidermist Jason Krause helped teach me all about mounting a wild turkey. Here is how he turned out after we worked on him.

WOW, does your gobbler have multiple beards? That is what it looks like from my computer chair! Got to love those multiple bearded boys! Awesome job on your gobbler, he is very nice and so are the other trophies you have pictured there. Supreme! Here is a picture of my second multi-bearded gobbler. So far, I've harvested 2 with 3 beards and 1 with a double beard. Sheer luck!!!

As the others have stated..... Very Very Nice Bird. Did you go with the freeze dried head for your mount ? I did with mine as I wanted to try and stay as close to the orginal as possible. Yes the bird I shot is a triple bearded bird. He wasn't the biggest bird I ever bagged but have always wanted to put a "nice" bird on the wall and this guy fit the bill. I do like you taste in mount styles.... Great job and keep up the good work.

Yes, I get all my turkey heads freeze-dried, by Cally Morris. I wish I could mount turkeys like that guy. " WOW!! "
Freeze-dried heads are the way to go. I am waiting on my head from that nice triple beard. I can't wait to start putting him back together. That turkey means a lot to me.
