Okay who wants to beat the snot out of thier truck?? i just keep fixing things as they happen. i replaced the radiator recently, have a pinion bearing going, the rear differential is sloppy and leaks, its making more and more noises all the time and, have a ball bearing on the fritz, loose front wheel bearings, bad tires, tired leaf springs, over exhausted shocks, and need an alignment. All in all it still runs, gets me to where i need to be, but the time is running out, i just want to take a spud stuff it up its exhaust, start it up and beat it with a bat until it dies, then push it down a hill into a wall and beat it some more, then light it on fire and drag it around with my new truck, which i don't have i can't afford to fix the one i have and can't buy another piece of crap i feel slightly better,

"Okay who wants to beat the snot out of thier truck??" I understand what ya goin threw. I've owned this truck for 15 years. Its a 1990 GMC 1/2 ton 4x4. I bought this truck Jan. 27th of 1990. 2 rear-ends, 2 transfer cases, 1 engine, 1 front axle, 2 paint jobs and housin and it needs new seats , door panels , head liner and just had new exhaust put on today. I cant afford a new one. So I keep doin with this, the wife loves this truck and this is the truck we met in. But I keep driving it. Hang in there. Sometimes they become money pits and I want to set it a fire.

thanx for the condolences, i still want to beat the snot out of this junker, i'm afraid it is going to die real soon, the rear dif is on it's last leg, should have seen my last piece, '84 ranger, 2.0 liter, 4 inch lift, oversized tires, power steering was out, looked like a sweet piece of junk, lighted visor, kc lights, brakes leaked, cracked windshield, leak in the hyrodlic cltuch, gas tank and radiator, hole in the drive side floor so big i could climb up and unlock the door, burned about a quart of oil a week, seat was rusted into place, super sloppy joystick, butterfly choke would stick on cold days and had to manually get out and shut it so it would start, if somebody followed to close on an uphill approach i would slow way down, I'd put into nuetral, step on the gas and spray oil over the vehicle following me,broke a u-joint and welded it into place, sucked the PVC valve into the manifoild, and the back pressure split the dip stick valve, a bit of jb-weld to plug it, threw away the dipstick, when it stopped smoking, add another quart of oil, sold it for $500, and the person tried to dicker , four wheel drive worked and never got so stuck i couldn't put into four low and get out, man i loved to hate that truck, it was such a sweet looking junker. i guess I should count my blessings

My old hunting truck has 214,000 miles on her. She is a Chevy 1500 and has been turkey hunting to Alabama -twice Missouri -7 times Oklahoma-once and a million miles it seems locally. I hope she can go just one more time

I use them (Ford Rangers) for work trucks. They seem to be the only mini trucks out there that can hold up tp me and the boys. I have 2 of them 1994 and 1991.

Had a 97 ranger, was a great truck but the family grew and needed a full-size. Now have a 99 silverado(new body style) and gotta say it has been a pretty darn good truck. Have had three things wrong with it though. At around 70000 miles I had to change the u-joints. At 145000 miles I had to replace the fuel pump. And at 178000 miles was time for a rebuild on the transmission. This truck never left me stranded through these problems and have to say I am very pleased with it. My next truck will definitly be another chevy, hopefully will be after 3 or 4 hundred thousand miles. At 188000 miles it still runs great. As far as crappy trucks, I used to have a 77 dodge.

yah, yah, i'd agree with the maintence schedule you put forth, u joints, etc, the rear dif was the icing on the cake, i finally bit the bullet and bought another on today, i think i'm good till i get it paid off in three years,
seems at least $2000 a year in payments or maintainence. then add insurance
