Some may think this is to personal, but I find this to be a prefect place to vent Monday afternoon after i got home from work, my wife showed me a letter from our Mortgage company --at first she said she had some bad news--then she brought out this letter. earlier in the year we had a town wide tax ( probably state wide ) assesment for all property taxes. Not a bad thing rght? Wrong!! My houses value went up from 65,000 to 114,900. From where i stand that was a big OUCH Okay NOW is the real b...., our mortgage payment went up to 780.00 a month to cover the differance in taxes for this year and to make sure there is enough money for next year. Some are probably saying to your self thats not to bad, well for some it might not be. At my current job I'm only making 9.50hr, the worst part is we are not even getting full 40hr weeks!!! ( NOW THERE IS THE REAL PITHER) We were having troubles before making ends meet with a full 40hrs, now the hike up our house payment, The only thing i can do now is try to find a higher paying job -hopefully- make ends meet a litte closer. I'm not looking forward to it, because I really enjoy my current job. As you can see with given numbers, currently this is just not going to be a possiblity. Trying to raise 4 kids and keep everything paid is what I'm up against. Truly not a pretty sight. I'm trying to keep faith that we'll get thru it and things will improve. It sure en he!! wont be easy. Just waiting for my miricle now to come along I appoligise for rammbleing about my personal life but its just seems to fit here!! Thanks.

NO PROBLEM thats what this forum is for. i know i got some bad news too. i live in pa and live with my parents still i am 21 (i know, i am a mooch lol) but i found out about 3 weeks ago they are moving to texas. so i got to start looking for a place to rent, and i am barely making the payments for my school loans and truck payments, luckily thats all i have to pay for right now. i am gonna have to try and find a new job also to make rent, and utilities, good luck trying to find a new job sometimes its not easy, other times it can fall right in you lap.

I know its no consolation, nor will it help pay anything, but u r not alone! Im prayin for ya. Just don't allow it to effect your relationship with your wife. Money struggles are public enemy #1 to a marriage!

Hang in there buddy. Times are tough but keep the faith and know that where there's a will, there's a way. Believe in yourself and stay strong and keep your loved ones smiling. Things will work themselves out, they always do.

When my Wife and I were first masrried it seemed like we would never financially survive those first two years. But we did. Just keep the fait man and know there are prayers going up to you from South Dakota.

I hate to see people struggle. The wife and i are not in much better shape but at least we have enough to make the bills . Which is a lot more than many living today. I wish you the very best . No wise words can solve or lesson your anger and frustration. And look the very best you can do is the very best you can do. And i totally agree with turk2di money troubles are really marriage killers . No mater what happens be nice to each other . good luck and god bless.

I think the majority of us have been there at one time or another, so we feel your pain and frustation - but keep your faith - that is the one thing you can count on - Times are tough, but God will see you through it as long as you believe He is there for you. I will pray that your problems are resolved quickly.

Hi Guys! Man it breaks my herat to read woes like this! I bare prayers and sunshine. First embrace these obstacles and wrap them in a bow of your frustration. Tonight before you close your eyes, say your prayers and hand that package to God. I normally repeat (3) times "I hand this over to you dear Lord." Things seem brighter the next day.
My Grandma lives is part of a missionary and lives in Texas, she knows tons of people all the world. Both you guys have my prayers, her prayers and most of the State of Texas prayers. Hang in there!

Sounds like you have an escrow through the bank to pay your taxes. I tried that but somehow I was always being asked for more money to catch up. I did that for about 3 years and got smart I pay my own taxes now and now I dont have any suprises. I hate the money hungry banks make sure you do the calculations yourself banks make mistakes too.

What buckhunter31 said!!!!! NEVER let somebody else pay your bills for ya, ESPECAILLY TAXES! I know it looks attractive, make one payment and all your house stuff is taken care of, yada yada.....If they screw up, as far as the government is concerned, it is still YOUR fault, and YOU are liable for any penalties, not that bank or finance company. They will pitch a bitch, say it is part of your arrangement and all that (that's becasue the are actually charging you a fee, taking your tax payments every month and earning interest on them until the tax bill comes due once or twice a year. THEY are making extra money off of you doing it that way. Find out from the county/city assesor what your annual property taxes are, divide that up by 12 and put that 1/12th in a seperate saving account every month and don't touch it until you need to pay the property taxes, no matter how hungry you get - peanut butter tastes pretty good in a house you own..... Also check into "Homestead" , First time homebuyers and other programs to reduce your property tax burden...
