That is one wild looking buck! I don't think any hesitation would be visable if that one wandered by the stand!

Using a TC Scout .50 inline: 1 5 pt. I first saw him during bow season--he walked the WRONG way (for me)--then during muzzleloader season one beautiful Sunday morning, I heard something walking straight towards my treestand--saw legs then the deer, then the antlers....he walked right under me and I let him have it...he stumbled about 3 or four steps and collapsed...I Love it when they commit suicide!!! several flatheads--They committed suicide also...I was using round lead balls .50. One I hit ran by me after the shot....didn't go far. I was looking for blood and was alarmed at the amount of red on the ground...red spots on leaves--but not blood...I sneaked in the direction the doe ran and found her quickly/luckily! 1 coyote----I was climbing out of my tree and started walking down the trail when I heard something running in my direction....thinking it was a deer, I got READY...the first thing I noticed was how small it was--expecting a deer---it stopped, turned broadside---I was sure I was shooting at a coyote, but when I hit it --spun around yipping like a dog--I thought "Oh no, I've just killed somebody's dog!!" When it stopped flopping around, I walked over to ---& when I got a better look at it ---discovered I had indeed nailed a big coyote with only half a tail...I dragged him back to camp, hung him up....I didn't think the blood would ever stop coming out of him. A friend of mine that has trapped fox, coyote etc. informed me that coyotes sometimes gnaw half the tails off their litter mates......ouch!

Mainly deer...here's some I took with flintlocks and patched round balls the past couple seasons: A very pretty, symmetrical 10 pointer during the rut: A good 10 pointer during the rut: 8 and 7 pointers 30 minutes apart during the rut: An 8 pointer during the rut:
