![](http://www.geocities.com/huntersbarn/barn05.jpg) | I've had a few guys ask about my barn...so here it is. We do most of our hunting right out our back door. This is where we do our skinnin, pluckin, quartern, and bullcrapin. The Hogs {harleys} hibernate here for the winter too. I'ts a 1885 16 x 24 2 story post and beam timber frame grainery I took down and brought home. Knocked every pin out of every mortice an tenion, hauled it home an put it back up. Come on in, grab a cold one and let's talk Huntin and Harleys. |

Heck with the turkeys! Your beard (on your face) looks "hard core hunter" to me.! ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cool.png) If you have been hunting since 20-years of age, dare I ask how many of those 20-lbers have you harvested? Any mounts made? -Sloppy

SS, It was 10 years ago when I moved the barn. I was 36 then...I probably wouldn't do it single handed now. I did have help with taking down the bents{big timber sections} and standing them back up {2 buds}. My wife helped me collect and stack the rocks for the foundation. I got my first huntin license in 1970...but we didn't have a turkey season till 1984 and it took awhile to figure em out. To the best of my recollection I have 5 big toms 4 jakes and 6 hens. My son 1 big tom and 1 hen. No mounts We save the leg with the biggest spur, the beard, and one tail feather from each bird.
WinMag, I think you'd fit right in...many a great hunter and a few righteous bikers have tipped a cold one in here.
phishy, I do just about live here spring summer and fall. I got my computer, phone, stereo,100 amp service, satellite tv, oil fired furnace, and fridge full of beer and dr. pepper....the potty is only 100 yds away in the basement.
