Hey Ghost, what are you planning on to replace your Hoyt? By the way, Roger has been using his bow to "Thump" a few deer. To date, he has shot a 10 pointer and a doe opening day and 9 more does this far in the season. Oh by the way, I'm looking to sell my Hoyt. LOL

Man i want that darn X force, i am going this weekend to shoot one at the local archery shop..this thing looks frickin awsome!..the only thing that im a little concerned is like Gob said is the 6in short brace height..hopefully ill shoot it enought to get a feel for it and see how bad the brace height feels..if all go's well i might be buying a new bow! been saving up my taxidermy money for one!

Mathews is in the Speed game now. The Monster will satisfy the speed demons needs.
The light arrow weights of the IBO is NOT recommended for hunting or bow life.
I would not try and shoot a fixed broadhead at that speed. Even some mechanicals will be difficult to control unless your are shooting bullet holes thru the paper.
I do not like the short braceheights when hunting, especially from a treedtand, where form is compromised by shot angles and cramped quarters. I recommend an average archer stick with the Hoyts and Solocam Mathews for hunting. These Speed bow are very sensitive to form and set up. The fall away rests have a difficult time getting out of the way at speeds much over 300.
These super fast bows are great for target shooters and experts, but speed can be a hinderance to accuracy when hunting. It is like a race car too fast and can't hold the line, same as the bow and arrow.
Just my take.

I know PSE makes a good bow. I have shot Mathews and Bowtech, The Mathews Drenlin that I have now is the best bow (for Me) that I have ever owned.

I just bought the new DXT. They incresed the speed by 5 fps for 2009.
I shot both the Mathews Monster and the PSE X bows. The MONSTER is a better looking bow. Shoots better and is quieter.
Mathews makes a much better bow than PSE and wait til next year when Mathews really gets in the SPEED game. The new Monster XLB will shoot over 370 IBO when it is finally released. But the 5 inch brace height is NOT for me.
I shot the DXT against all the latest bows and it was the best in my hands. The HOYT AM was a very close second, but I like the Solocam over the dual cam bows.

you can shoot the dream season if you want a little more brace height /i could not tell much difference between the xforce and x force dream season / i still got the dream season because it is suppost to be more accurate ( i don't believe it , after shooting it) i really like it / it is more sensitive to any shooting form problems than other bows i have used / it requires some getting use to/ it is sensitive to any string stretch and cams getting out of adjustment/ i use winners edge strings on it / it will shoot accurate out to 100 no problem / i do like the bow ,but it is more work to learn to shoot it well / no shock very smooth
