What's the technology or "justification" or reasoning or just plain experience you've had in regards to these rests that will assure me that they don't affect arrow flight? I'd like to hear some pros and cons.

well, Gob, some folks will say Whisker Biscuit will slow down arrow speed, My wife Sally uses a Whisker Biscuit Deluxe QS on her new Martin Tigress. Matter of fact we checked it's speed with the chronogragh today, 219 , 220, 219 with 40 lbs @ 26 inch draw. I really believe Gob you wouldnt beable to tell the difference, The whisker Biscut is designed with Minmal Friction. It's a forgivin rest . Personally I have to lean towards the NAP Quik Tune 2000 fall away rest but the Whisker Biscut is a dang good rest. You could shoot Vanes (but not NAP Quik Spins, do that wrinkle) you can shoot Feathers with very little friction, it's a dependble rest, never have to worry about your arrow fallin off the rest

dont shoot with one period.at release it is impossible to hold the bow completely stable and with the entire arrow contacting the rest it can throw the arrow off target much worse than any other rest design.i would recommend the NAP QUIK TUNE 2000 rest myself.if your shooting form isnt 99.9% perfect the whisker biskit is a very bad choice

I have never used one myself. But i hear guys swear by them and others cuss them. I read in a post somewhere that someone chono'ed there arrow b-4 and after installing the wisk bisk and it was only like 3 fps slower.Pretty much as Don stated, nothing noticable different, Unless your Gob and are a speed freek....MORE POWER ....MORE POWER !!

If you would like a captured rest I recommend the NAP Capture 360. It works like a whisker Biscuit but it doesn't have the bristles all the way around. I will have a picture on the web site in maybe a week or so. Just received the shipment Thursday. As far as arrow rest go I highly recommend drop aways. I shoot the trophy taker shakey hunter micro adjust and love it. I might try the new Hoyt smart rest. It has a speed adjustment for drop speed.

Gob a whisker biscuit was on my bow all last season. I took a total of 8 deer and 1 turkey. It's a good rest. Some of the drop away rests slow your bow down more with the cables they all come with. I use mine with feathers. You can argue about it all day long. If I were going to use a drop away, I'd use the rip-cord, I looked at quite a few and used others, but the rip cord looks like a good one for the hunter.

The only people I have ever seen speak negatively about the WB have not shot the WB. I'm sure there are some out there, but that's just my experience. I have uswed one for about 5 years now, and I love it. In fact, I shoot every bit as well with it as with any other rest I've used.

Mossyoak64, I think the Whisker Buiscut Rest is a dependable rest, I've asked my wife if she would like a different rest with this new bow I purchased for her, and her answer was NO!, I feel real comfortable with this rest and it's relieable. I never have to worry about my arrow fallin off the rest

I used the wb last year and my son also. The rest is simple and works great. It actually helped my son get better arrow flight and was the only rest that I could get his bow tuned with. I do not recommend them with the Quick Spin vanes though. This year I am using a Trophy Taker drop away for hunting and on for competition a golden key infinity that I converted to a drop away. I also like the Quad Ultra Rest, and the Vital Bow Gear Drop away. The WB is a great rest and would recommend it as I have used it and know they work. I do not believe you will give up anything other than aesthetically they are not the coolest looking thing out there. I know several guys that have shot 300 and 60 x with the WB so I know they do not take away on accuracy. I think the main reason I swapped was I just think its ugly and for my son he wanted to use a drop away. Those are the only reasons we switched. Keith

i use a drop away and all my friends use a WB i think for a novice it is an excellent rest. it is not to friendly to feather fletching . i think it all comes down to do you want a full contact rest are a no contact rest. i chose the later.

I myself use the WB and love it. I do not hear any noise when I draw back and as for the speed, 3-4 fps slower, but for dependability, i do not think you can beat it. (unless you use quickspin fletching, it kinda hangs up and spreads your group out to 6 or more inches or you use an extreme helical) I used the Drop Zone by Trophy Ridge, nice rest, bet prefer the simplicity of the WB on my Mathews. As for consistency, I have a stack of arrows that I have shafted with another arrow when using a WB. (Not a big stack, twenty of them though)

Gob, I am a big fan of drop aways. I own a drop zone and a vaportrail limbdriver which are two of the best dropaways out there. I never thought I would shoot a wb. I got one on a bow I traded for last year and thought what the hey Ill give it a try. I ended up hunting with It all last season and it still is on my bow. If you try one get some good fletchings. I fletch blazers and wraps now and do not have any problems with vane durability. It is real nice not having to worry any at all about your arrow staying on the rest when sitting in a stand or stalking an animal. Jerry

Not bad for strickly hunting, but there is a reason that you won't find anyone that is serious about competition useing one. We like to use the old ones for target practice.....who can put an arrow threw the hole.......
