i started use the wisker biscuit when they first came out. I havn't changed yet. I shoot feather thru mine rather than vanes. A little extra glue at the front of the feather keeps them attached better. I love the way the arrow is held in place. you never have to worry about the arrow coming off when drawing back. If you will be hunting in rainy weather I suggest you spray the rest with some water sealer like what you would use on a tent.

Never really been a fan of the Whisker Biscuit. I think they are to loud and I have to disagree with the fact that they don't affect accuracy. If it is tearing your fletching then there is drag on the arrow. There is no way it is going fly straight after that. It's kind of like a dog on a chain...he takes off running and everything is smooth until he hits the end. Thats the way I picture fletching doing when it hits the biscuit. For Hunting accuracy I think they are fine. All you need is a softball size group. For tournament shooting I don't see how anyone could score that well with one. The best group I ever shot with a biscuit was about softball size. I went to a drop away rest and started splitting nocks. THIS IS JUST MY OPINION!! Keith has shot a million more tournaments than I have and he has seen excellent scores shot on dot competition's using a biscuit.

I agree they are fine for the average whitetail hunter. COurse the east coast wouldn't even consider some of those shots taken at elk and MD out west. Might not work as well for those longer shots.
I'm eye balling that Vital Gear drop away. There is a shop here pshing them saying the lock in feature works great and that it is sleeper drop away that should be getting more buzz.
I'm with you though. I think it is noisy on the draw. I don't think I'll have mine long.

If any of you guys are looking in getting a new rest , I would suggest looking at the QAD Ultra rest.. I just purchased one and finally got it tuned and it is shooting great.. No clearance problems that I have encountered with other types of drop rests.. And the lock feature is awesome...You just have to make sure the rest is timed right with the draw.. I would suggest at the last 1 to 1 1/2 inch of full draw the rest be in the upright position... Give the rest a try you will not be disappointed..

I shoot the Trophy hunter "Dead Zone".. It has been great so far. No problems that I can see. I have heard wonderful things about the "Rip Cord" rest. It has a locking feature also with a top bar. A lot of my buddies shoot it with great results. Hoktl it is good to see an archer that studies products before he buys. To many people just buy the "popular thing". Same with you whitetail...you boys have your heads on right.

I never tried a WB, and wanted to last year, but also was reading other forums on the noise factor. After reading this thread, I'm glad i never purchased one. I will stick with my drop away
