We got quite a few (blacks) over here around the potomac but the season goes out earlier than most. I been seeing a raft of canvas backs out here on the potomac pretty regular through the winter for the last couple years. I like those.!!!!

i havent shot the first band and i have been hunting for 5 years or so. my buddy started the same year as i did and he has already shot 3. ( mallard drake, snow, and a speck) both geese were on the same trip!! i was thinking about taking a trip up to oklahoma next year. is there any good public hunting there. all of our public lakes are way too crowded and the ducks arent cooperationg like i want them too. just thought it might be a good time to go and have some fun.

Todate I have 5 bands. All mallards. Four collected in North Idaho and one from North Dakota. Yet to get a banded goose.--KT

iv been waterfowl hunting for about 10 years and i have 2 duck bands and 7 goose leg bands and 1 neck band off a snow goose my step dad has 116 duck bands and about 30 goose bands hes lucky

Don't have any bands yet. But what annoys me is that every time I offer to take my friend duck hunting he gets a band, he has 4 now. I'll tell ya, He aint duck huntin with me for awhile

The first duck I ever shot was a Black duck, and it had a $100 reward band on it.
The first Goose I ever shot also had a band on it.
I guess from what I was told, thats about as lucky as you can get. First two birds, both banded, in the same year. I haven't done much hunting since that year. With college, I'm too comitted to archery season and pheasant season. But I love those woodies!!!
