had a great teal hunt on saturday. brian a first time duck hunter and myself. whe to otter slough conservation are and drew # 122. we got the 13th pick of 16 positions.now the draw started at 5.15 am it was over at 6.45 am bye the time everyone picked their spots. brian and i got to pool 9 at 7am shooting started at 6.50 am. we hurried to get our waders on and get to our blind. i started pitching decoys arount 7.15 the birds were landing in the deeks before i could get them all out. since brian had never hunted ducks before. i had him wait untill sevearal landed in the deeks to shoot. we both got our limit and were back to the truck by 9 am. there were around 3000 teal in pool 9 on opening day. what a hunt. we didn,t loose any birds. and shot aroud 20 shots all together. great shooting brian.lets do it agian next saturday.
