Has anyone been seeing any amount of ducks back up north. I live in Ohio and haven't seen crap as in any amount of ducks coming back through. Took a drive around the lake and only seen about 10 geese and 0 ducks. Normally we have quit a bit coming through at this time but I'm not seeing anything. The geese were here in very big numbers a few weeks ago, but a cold front pushed alot of them back down. Just wondering if the ducks are still hanging out down south farther.

I've got about 25 mallards coming in and out of a little aireated neighborhood lake that's about 50 yards behind my house. They've been keeping some strange hours, flying out in the dark in the early morning and coming back in after dark at night.

We have a flock of about 25 Canadas and about 150 pintails and mallards that have been hanging around for quite a while. I think the cold front that just came through is gonna keep them down here a little longer.

Went out this morning to do some turkey scouting and had a change of mind when it came to ducks numbers. Our property lies on the egde of the st. marys river and when we went up to it, we stopped to just listen and two pair of mallards dropped in and landed 10 yards away. Two more got up about 50 yards away and then around the corner there were about 40-50 mallards just sitting on the water resting. Geese were flying all day and it was kind of odd to see 3 wood ducks flying around this early and this far north already.

What a difference a week can make. Bunch of ducks @ our local WMA this morning and several geese. Usually by late Feburary, very few are around.

We have a bunch of geese, mallards and bluebills. Went out metal detecting this morning and had a flock of 50 or so geese land on the edge of a creek. Went down to the water to check them out and there must of been about 500 bills rafted up in the middle of the creek and a bunch of mallards near the shoreline. I'm seeing more birds then when the season was open.

Had divers on our local lake two weeks ago. Went to Ohio Monday on Rt.#30 and was snowing pretty good. Saw lots of geese and bluebills on barrow pits along #30. Last week saw about 25 snows on local lake. Really rare here in NW Indiana. We have a couple thousand Canadas on lake in town. Locals but quite a few migrators too.

All this week, on a pond outside of my town, there have been about 400 redheads and ringnecks sitting on there day in and out. Kind of cool to see that many sitting there all week, to bad seasons out and that pond is in the corporation zone. This is the 2nd year in a row for this amount of ducks to use the same pond.

Here is a pic of one smaller corner and a smaller flock of the ducks that were using that pond. This picture is mainly ringnecks with some redheads.
