What does anyone know about stoeger shotguns. I am looking at a model 2000 12 guage pump, mainly because it is inexpensive, ($300). I this a decent gun.

There's a couple of guys at my work that have bought them & like them. One guy got one of their semi-autos for waterfowl hunting & another guy bought the semi-auto & one of their O/U's. They think that it's a dang good gun for the money.

I been hunting with a Stoeger 12 ga. o/u for a few years now that I won at one of are local banquets. I like it a lot. Not that heavy, comes up nice. I went pheasant hunting a few weeks ago and used it the first day and was hit what I was aiming. For what ever reason I switched to a Benillie black eagle eagle or what ever is called and couldn't hit a dang thing. The Stoeger is a very nice inexpensive gun and gets the job done. And I always tell guys," It don't make a difference if it's a $200 gun or a $2000, It's the person pulling the trigger!
