what middie said and to add: your stand sites? are they the same ones you've been using repeatedly over and over; lets say two, three, or more years years? If your looking to get a doe that's at least three years old, and if she has spent most of her life in your neck of the woods, i bet she has busted you in any of your stand locations at least once, and she remembers to be careful in these areas. the young ones haven't learned yet, and when they make that fatal mistake, it's too late, no replay.

still three deer is nothing to scouff at. I have enough problems getting one with the bow. just my 2 cents.

I agree with phishy If the stands are in the same place year after year this can hurt,, you would what you call educated deer. You may try a portable blind or a lock on if not a climber to change this.Until the rut starts fully the bucks will generally run a different trail. It will be about 20 yards either side of the doe trail. You may need to get higher this always helps, Movement is not caught and scent is far away unless its really cold and blowing down on them,.Scent is very important. Not trying to sound bad but I have noticed a difference if my wife was with me or she was at home. She is very clean but some scents we as humans cant smell. Think about this, Dogs can tell so can deer hogs or any game that is used to certain smells in an area.I am not trying to make this a perverted or nasty thing at all, just stating the facts. Animals smell way way better then we know or understand. This is when you need a good cover scent. Just for instance, breath,, a deer can smell breath,so they say, could they not smell an other odor we not smell.. yes.Cover scents are great they are our helper, they mask odors they cover our mistakes and they take the smell the deer usually would smell away. I hope i am helping here without saying you stink,,its not like that. I am trying to put this in real terms.. Tim

yer doing a great job this year.heck bowkilled 3 deer and havnt fell outta the stand relieving yerself i call that sucessful

I AGREE WITH THE REST OF THE GUYS 3 BOW KILLS THIS EARLY ON IS GREAT. AND THEM YOUNG ONES DO EAT SO MUCH BETTER THAN THE OLD ONES. AND ARE NOT NEARLY THE STRAIN TO DRAG OUT GOOD JOB.

i agree with C2DB.as long as it aint a button buck i shoot the smallest doe in the group if i can.tender,tastier meat
