Got a bow draw hunt coming up in a couple weeks. Went out today to do some scouting. Heard a couple bucks banging horns at 10:45, but never did get to see them. They were real close too. Didnt see a live deer today, but did find this:  Also found this hog skull, looks like he was a good one. FOund a few others but not this big.  |

Wow, that was pretty wild seeing the deer caught up in the barbed wire like that  and that does look like a pretty decent hog skull, did ya pick it up & keep it? |

Wow, that was pretty wild seeing the deer caught up in the barbed wire like that and that does look like a pretty decent hog skull, did ya pick it up & keep it? Was on federal land where you are not allowed to pick up sheds, skulls..anything. So I plead the 5th.  |

Where you out at Hagerman? I had a buck on my lease do the same thing as the deer in your pic. That has to be one of the worst ways to die.  |

Man rjet that was a pic!! ouch, I had a very nice buck a few yaers ago dart in front of my truck, and jump the fence,I guess my headlights right after dusk seemed to blind him, he got caught in the fence right in front of me. I thought it broke his neck as he flipped down to the ground , I called the game warden as soon as I saw this, not knowing what to do, He told me to cut the fence strand by strand and see if he makes it. I started cutting and it was like the deer came back to life, once he got his footing he just stood there about 5 "away. I dont know who was more skeared me or the deer. Anyway he looked at me and it was like thanks and hauled but the other way.. I bet you cant wait till your hunt..T

I've found bones in/around a barbed wire fence before....but never have I seen a whole deer hung up like that.....that's quite a pic......sad....but a nice pic.

I had a dog die like that. He got hung up in a chain link fens=ce on New Years Eve. Pretty sad to see that.
