Hey Midriver, Even though I never got a good clear look at that buck I knew right away it was a shooter. I thought it was a 10 pointer with a nice frame and tall tines I never had time to study him. This one was bigger on the ground when I walked up to him.

I guess that is the way you want it to work out! Congrats on a brute, I am in the planning stages of picking an outfitter for a trip down the road. Any advice on how to pick a Canadian outfitter for Whitetails?

Hey Middie and Hoosier, right now I don't have any plans to go back but that could change at any time. Although Saskatchewan was my first pick and a place I have always dreamed about, there are many more big buck destinations to try. Of course you guys know that I am trying Illinios and Iowa this year, talk about a dream season! Remember to, that I am not a rich millionaire and I don't have a trust fund or anything like that, I work hard as an electrcian to go on these trips. I'm just a hunting fanatic and I like to see new parts of the country. Middie, if you want to go to Sas. I highly recommend the place I went. If you ever want to go E-mail me, the outfitter is a friend of mine, and I'm sure he'd love to have you. The best way to pick a good outfitter is to go where somebody you know has already gone. Other than that you have to reley on your instincts and his references.

Yeah alberta looks very cool as well, but the World Record is from SAS. Both ahve what I am looking for. I wan t a300lb deer with a 150 class rack and Good Mass. I also wan to know what it is like to hunt in 15 degree weather when the rut is on. Sounds like a good test for one's self!
