It did take a while but it was worth it. Someone I know, knows Russel Thornberry and sent him some pics. Russel gave the pics to his son Darrin and he sent me a letter inviting me to write a story(for Rack) and send it in. I sent in the story and Mike Handley (editor) said I was in! The rest is history.

Congrats, the outfitter owes you a big favor for that one. I bet he books up for 3 years just because of that article, probably raised his rates a bit too! It would be worth it for a chance at a deer like that! Could you tell he was biiger than your other buck right away? I fear I would go there and shoot a deer that was not as big as I thought he was once he hit the ground!
