What will you shoot this year?

What will you be going into your deer grounds with this year for gun season?
I am going to use a Ruger 300 Win mag for opening day of our rifle season. It has a 3x9 vari x Leupold setting on top.
First year with this setup.

I think I'm gonna end up with a TC Encore in .270. Haven't got it yet though. I may actually not hunt with rifle at all this year. I'm seriously into bow hunting.

I am going to use a red ryder shoot out his eyes and run him down and stab his heart.. No I am going to try to hunt only with my bow..Its a mathews lx 29"draw carbon arrows drop away rest Deadnuts sights with a night led for late evening, Muzzy broadheads,and my IN HEAT SCENTS,, Gonna try some new tarsal gland and semen mix this year, I also will be bringing lauren a few times this year maybe with a rifle shes only 2 1/2 but I think she handle my 7mm mag. I got some lighter grain bullets I got some custom built 120 grain ballistic which dont kick as bad.. Tim

the other 1/3 is a single shot Rossi in 308 win

I'll shoot whatever gets in my crosshairs and is legal. Actually, this year I think i'll be using a 270 Savage instead of my old faithful 243 Savage.

Yea, the majority of my deer hunting will be with my bow.
I've bowhunted 40 years and rifle hunted the last 11.
Love muzzleloading and tried an inline for the first time last year.

I like don idea ME AND MR. HOYT You got good taste Don. But when gun season rolls around. Some people think I am CRAZY because the gon weighs so much but I carry a Reminton 700VLS in 308 with a 4.5 x 14 a/o Leupold and a set of Harris bipods stuck on the front loaded wife my special handloads. I have got to where this is my Fav. gun and I use it for anything legal. Coyotes Groundhogs and deer. I know where this thing is going to hit EVERYTIME I touch it off. And man does it shoot good. Its alittle heavy but its a nail driver. I havent souped it up in anyway ecept adjusting the trigger a little lighter and I think Im going to add one of those SIMS BARREL DERESONATORS to see if it helps out any at all

mgcc, my cousin shoots a Remington 308 with a varmit barrel, if that's what you're talking about, with a 6 x 18 power AO scope, and I watched him shoot a buck one year at 589 yards with it! He hunts alot of fields on the farm he owns.
