nice pics and I have the same question as the gob, we can't bait, salt, mineral here so I've been wanting to get a game camera but don't know the best way or place to put it out.

Me too. My wife just bought me one and I've set it up but not sure if I did it right. Guess I'll find out when I go pick it up.

I never put the cameras where I hunt. I have found it scares the crap out of them here. Not to mention getting scent all over your hunting spot. Instaed I put the camera where I don't plan on hunting but where I expect the deer hang at night. Like around feild edges. The buck in the picture was filmed on a feild edge where a low spot in a fence created a good spot for deer to enter but the open woods and feild would never see an adult deer during hunting hours. Adult Deer in this area are very nockturnal. I usually shoot them very close to there bedding areas. I have tried putting the cameras closer, but I always ended up with that area drying up with sign after getting only one pic of the big buck (usually the 1st day the camera was hung).

Nice buck....young buck by the looks of it to. That right there is a buck with some AWESOME potential. Looking at his face (see no roman nose) his neck (still tight and muscular) and his belly (or lack of) I'd guess him to be around 2 1/2 to 3 years old...
