Hoyt, Reflex, PSE, Darton, Diamond, Jennings/Bear, Martin, Pearson, etc. etc. etc. My point is, ya gotta get out there and try alot of them. What I think is a great bow, you might think is junk. It's all about personal preference, and what you like and what you are comfortable with. I know that's not much help, but it's the bottom line. Good luck and have fun in your search.

What a problem to have! i am drooling over the new switchback from Matthews, but my Browning has and continues to serve me really well. Have to wait until I break a limb on it or something!

I have the same predicament! I've been shooting a Browning Mirage for quite a few years now and I believe it's time for some of the new technology! I have shot the Hoyt vtech, mathews switchback, pse, martin, bowtec to name a few. It definetly is a tough choice. I am leaning towards the switchback so far. the hoyt is a close second. just have to make up my mind!!
Good Luck! Backdoc

Guys I have a friend that also had a browning, he just got a new martin and loves it. I tried for years to get him to buy a new bow , I was tired of his excuses. He did and had never been happier. It doesnt matter the brand , they all shoot great and are quiet nowadays. I shoot a mathews and a bowtech, but it depends on what you can and want to spend and also what you are looking for comfort, quietness ,speed ,let off. It all can come into play. Just go and shoot till you feel comfortable.. and good luck Tim

Thanks for all the advise guys. I guess it's time to get out and try some. There is a lot of guys pushing the switchback. I think I'll hit that one first and compare the rest to it.

Dont shoot the Switchback unless you are ready to buy it.... I decided to look around and find a new bow also. After several weeks of shooting different bows i finally bought a Mathews Switchback. It was definately the smoothest shooting bow i tried.

I have looked at each bow also (SWITCHBACK and HOYT V TEC) The switchback is as great as everyone says it is but MAN THAT HOYT is right there with it. There isnt a pennies difference in them when it comes to the final out come. Allthough the hoyt is a few bucks higher I would stay with the HOYT since I have been shooting them since before it was COOL to shoot a HOYT

It's all up to you man, but I bought a ne HOYT last year. It is their lower end bow, the Ultra Tec, and the only difference between it and the V Tec is the riser, mine has a cast riser, and the others have a machined riser. There is about $300 difference in them. I love my bow, but it is all in what you want. I shoot 60 lbs. with the new Easton Axis arrows with the Quik spin vanes and 100 grain muzzy's, and it is shooting about 264 fps.
Good luck, Patrick

I shoot an AR31 and it's very nice. Bought a Switchback this year too. Love it Love it Love it. But I'm not confident with it so the AR's gonna get the nod early.
I've been thinking about a Vipertec too. It is a SWEET bow.

Mathews Switch Back !! With out a doubt it is the best of the best. Smooth to draw , quite, absolutely no bow recoil... Have one & just love it. Besides that ( it's one killin machine ) !!
