I see your stated point and respect it.
It is sad when I think about growing up and having guns (30-30, 32 win special several 12 guages and 22s) hanging on the wall. Any of the above mentioned guns could have been a topic of discussion while the fire place snapped crackled and popped. Now a days everything is locked up tight and hidden.
My counter point is "why not list them?" as any anti who reads these forums will quickly find out what you have for guns anyways. I'm not hiding.
I visited the holocaust museum in DC about a month ago. It is an outrage that there was not one single fact relating to the rise and power of Hitler and the registration of guns as one of his tools of evil.
As a matter of fact here is what Hitler said:
"This year will go down in history. For the first time, a cililized nation has full gun registration. Our streets will be safer, our police more effiecient, and the world will follow our lead into the future!" Adolf Hitler 1935.
I'm proud of my collection and will bury them if some gov't official comes to collect them.

There ya go! I like your attitude! And based on that, I'll add that my two most favorite guns are my deceased grandfathers Colt 45 ACP revolver & a 1918 Danzig Mauser that he brought back from the war. The 45 ACP revolver has sets of the original military ammo, that are 3 rounds in metal clips that go into the revolver clip and all. 2, 3 shot clips load it. He had the Danzig Mauzer re-barreled for 308 in a custom barrel shop and had a real nice monte carlo checkered stock put on it. It's got the original peep sniper sights on it & I thought about putting a scope on it but I really like shooting it as is!

I have a lot of good rifles and the one I value most is the one that Dad handed down to me.
He was in WWII off of the beaches of Omaha and Utah (during overlord). He was also in the Korean war and hunted bear in AK while stationed there. You are fortunate to have those old guns. Unfortunately my Dad's Mom sold his guns when he got back from the wars. Money was tight back then.
Years later my Dad bought a 30-06 remington that has a trigger that's hard to pull and groups CD large groups at 100 yards, but it's one rifle that I will not sell. I almost lost my Dad this year due to him being a diabetic and when he finally goes I will always have something to remember him.

Well said accurate! I bet you could get that trigger on the 06 tuned up! Most decent gun smiths can tune them to the exact amount of pounds of trigger pull you want and they can set it to where the trigger is right there/no slop. I doubt they'd charge much to tune it up. They'd probably charge a little more if you want it shaved down to a low pull weight.

WinMag, Thanks for the positive words.
I like the calibers you have. Very wise choices IMHO. Everyone of them has it own venerable reputation.

I wish i still had some of the guns i traded or sold off. Some were just plain fun to shoot off. Now a days you will never get me to part with a gun that i already have.Wish i would have been like that many years ago. I have a friend that has a collection of rifles pistols and shotguns,he has 103 and shoots them too. He inherited some, but bought most of them.

Hey TP, you reminded me that I forgot all about my 2 muzzys... I've got an older TC Renegate & a newer TC In-Line and I'm thinking about getting a new magnum in-line. I shot with a guy that had one of the magnums that he was stoking up w/50% more powder & shooting at 200 yards and it was holding nice. Makes it more like a high powered rifle.
