Here is my 2007 buck. It helps if the TAxi wants to use your animal in shows. This was done 2 1/2 months after a shot him.

Nice mount. Is this a cross whitetail/mule deer, or is it full mule deer? just wondering, looks to have some characteristics of a whitetail.

Has the characteristics of a whiteail with the brow tines and face... but has the ears of a mulie and forking of the G2's and G3's of a mulie as well. A great buck for sure! What was the score?

Both of you are almost correct. He is actually a Blacktail Cross shot in Northern California. He was such a brute we used a whitetail form. Short nose and ears are blacktail characteristics, but usually they don't have such a big bulky head. He scores 198 4/8" and is the new #2 Non-typical inland blacktail for the California Records of Big Game book. As boundry's go for Boone and Crockett he would have to score as a mule deer and does not even come close to the minimum 230". DM

I though it was a non typ Whitetail to tell you the truth. But no matter what it is the pedestal mount looks great and the trophy is awesome. Here is a whitetail with all the characteristics of a muley. NY Orange County..

Beautiful Buck. just wish the pic was bigger, can't really see it that well. Can you try to repost a larger picture for us to admire?
