Well i did it i mounted the 8pt buck i got durring gun season! it turned out great the pics of it still have the pins holding the skin on.........so ill have some final one done in a couple days. Enjoy!

this is my first deer head i also did a full body mount of a mink.............so only my second mount

Great job! Looks much better than my first deer mount did. BTW I have a coon in the freezer for you. It's cut for a pedestal mount. The form should be here in the next week or so. Send me an email if you still want it.

Did you tan the cape or use DP? Also, did you bondo the ears or use a liner. I have tried so many times to seperate the ears and have torn each one. What's your trick?
That looks fantastic - can't wait 'til you put the finishing touches on it. Great job Hunt4! Great Job!
Have you been over at the forums at taxidermy.net? Lot's of experienced folks over there and volumes of helpful advice. (a couple old crumugins, too - but if you do a search for your question first - they are okay with you)

thanks eemer and the rest of ya, first i did DP it and i did use earliners, for the earliners i cut as far up the ear in a circuler motion and then basicially used my thumb to tear the cartlate right off! yes i have been to taxidermy.net some people can be idiots but oo well i do go their often for idfice.
